                                                               Repeater Operation

Repeaters are designed primarily for mobile users and handheld users who have limited coverage on there own. Traffic can be very high at times and priority should be given to mobile users.

To access a repeater first check the repeater guide for frequency offset, CTCSS tone etc. Then key up and Identify. Keep in ,mind some repeaters are internet linked and there may be people accessing it via computer. Quick keying is one the the Seven Deadly sins of ham radio. DON'T do it. Wait for to pip then transmit

Morse Code                 Find a Local Club
Some Ham radio operators never use voice but operate solely via Morse Code or CW. The full code can be found here The RSGB has complete listings of all clubs in the UK. Be advised some listings are out of date. Please feel free to email us or ask in the forums for the latest information
